Rangjung Foundation was established by His Holiness Kyabje Dungse Garab Rinpoche with the approval of the Ministry of Home & Cultural Affairs vide letter no. DLG-26/2006/875 dated 17.5.2006. The foundation is also certified by the ‘Chodey Lhentshog’ vide a certificate dated 31/07/2009 after the enactment of the Religious Organizations Act of Bhutan.
This is a charitable organization chaired by His Holiness Kyabje Dungse Garab Rinpoche, and it is established to support the monks and nuns in their religious studies and their retreats, old people who desire to spend their life in and around the monastery reciting prayers and in meditation. The foundation also sponsors orphans and children of poor parents to pursue their education, and many other projects related to Dharma teachings and practices throughout Bhutan.
His Holiness Kyabje Dungse Garab Rinpoche and a few dharma supporters from abroad support over 400 monks and nuns housed at Rangjung Woesel Choling Monastry, Thegchog Kunzang Choden Nunnery, Bregon Woesel Choeling Yogi Monastery ,and Ugyen Thekchok Yangtshe Nunnery including retreat centers, gomdes, old folks homes besides the normal activities of the foundation. With the rising cost of all commodities, it is increasingly becoming difficult to finance its activities. Therefore, this foundation, appeals to all Dharma supporters for a generous contribution and also to become a members of the foundation.
